The 9th edition of the International Art Symposium – Struga 2024 was successfully concluded

Dear attendees, dear artists and art lovers. The honorable rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje. I am pleased and honored to be a part of this symposium and this wonderful team in the beautiful city of Struga.
Struga, a small town on the shores of Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia, is a true cultural and artistic treasure. With its rich history and an inspiring natural landscape, Struga has long been an important center where each year, the city comes alive with the colors, sounds, and verses of poetry, attracting art lovers from all over the world.
Additionally, the International Symposium of Visual Arts is a significant event for fostering cultural exchange and collaboration, where artists from around the globe come together to share and celebrate the diversity of artistic expressions. This symposium is not just an event where talent and creativity are displayed in their purest form, but also a place where new collaborations can be born, and joint projects can develop, positively impacting both local and international developments. Through discussions, workshops, and exhibitions, this symposium brings a new spirit to the city where it is held, making it an important hub for art and culture. This event not only promotes visual art but also helps build bridges of communication and highlights the importance of art in global society and the promotion of intercultural dialogue.
This exhibition, marks the culmination of long days of tireless work, where every idea born in silence and every inspiration that took shape in the fantastic and friendly environment of the symposium. It is a moment when art speaks for itself, opening a silent but powerful dialogue with those who view and experience it.
The participating artists from various countries such as Spain, Romania, Italy, Russia, India, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Turkey, Serbia, and Macedonia bring to the stage not only their talent but also the most sensitive part of their souls, becoming bridges between the human being and the beauty that transcends time and space. This is a testament to their unwavering dedication and their desire to deeply touch every person fortunate enough to be part of this incomparable experience. This is the true essence of art – to communicate, to share, and to celebrate in a shared artistic experience through a universal language that unites people regardless of origin or culture.
The artistic sensitivity in these works is revealed through a blend of styles that creates a rich visual diversity, challenging traditional concepts of beauty and form. The artists have explored expressive lyricism, using bold colors and large paintings to convey strong emotions. Also surrealistic and abstract components add a mysterious layer filled with symbolism and metaphors reflecting the complex reality we live in.
