-Personal experience in London: How has living in London shaped your personal and professional identity?
-Living in London has been a transformative experience. The city’s diversity, fast-paced environment, and competitive nature have pushed me to grow both personally and professionally. I have learned resilience, adaptability, and the importance of networking. London has also given me the opportunity to engage with different cultures while staying connected to my Albanian roots, which has been crucial in shaping my identity. Professionally, the city has provided access to incredible opportunities, from working in diverse industries to building a strong professional network.
-Cultural integration: What have been the biggest challenges you have faced while integrating into British society, and how have you overcome them?
One of the biggest challenges was balancing my Albanian heritage with British culture. At times, it felt like I had to choose between the two, but I eventually realized that embracing both was a strength. Language was another challenge in the early days, especially adapting to different accents and professional communication styles. I overcame these by immersing myself in British society, networking, and continuously learning. Finding a community of like-minded individuals also played a huge role in making integration smoother.

-The role of women in the diaspora: How do you see the role of Albanian women in the diaspora, and what advice would you give to those who aim to have an impact in their communities?
-Albanian women in the diaspora play a crucial role in preserving culture, breaking stereotypes, and contributing to society. They are excelling in various fields, from business and education to arts and activism. My advice is to be confident, take leadership roles, and support each other. It’s important to stay connected to our roots while embracing new opportunities. Networking, mentorship, and continuous learning are key to making an impact.
– Involvement in artistic projects: Can you share with us any cultural projects you are currently engaged in or plan to participate in in the future?
-I am passionate about cultural projects that bridge the gap between the Albanian and British communities. Currently, I am involved in [mention any relevant projects, e.g., a cultural festival, an art exhibition, a documentary, or community work]. In the future, I plan to work on initiatives that promote Albanian heritage, such as organizing events, supporting young artists, or collaborating on cultural awareness campaigns.
-The influence of the Albanian community: How do you rate the influence of the Albanian community in London in promoting our culture and traditions in the United Kingdom?
The Albanian community in London has grown significantly and has made a strong impact in promoting our culture. We see this through cultural events, restaurants, businesses, and community organizations that bring people together. However, there is always room for growth. More collaboration, media representation, and engagement with wider society can help amplify our presence and ensure that Albanian heritage is recognized and celebrated in the UK.
-The experience with King Charles III: How did you experience the meeting with King Charles III and what impact do you think this meeting had on the perception of the Albanian community in Britain?
-Meeting King Charles III was an incredible honor. It was not just a personal milestone but also a moment of recognition for the Albanian community in Britain. The meeting highlighted our contributions and helped challenge outdated perceptions. It showed that Albanians are an integral part of British society, actively contributing in various sectors. I believe this encounter further strengthened our visibility and credibility in the UK.

-Future Plans: What are your goals and projects for the future, both personally and professionally?
-Professionally, I aim to continue making an impact in my field, expand my network, and support community initiatives. I am working on [mention any specific goals, e.g., launching a project, furthering education, or expanding a business]. Personally, I want to stay connected to my roots and mentor the younger generation, helping them navigate opportunities while staying true to their identity.
-Message for young Albanians: What message would you convey to young Albanians who live abroad and want to maintain ties with their culture and identity?
-My message is simple: embrace both your Albanian heritage and the opportunities your new home offers. You don’t have to choose between the two—being bilingual and bicultural is a strength. Stay connected through language, traditions, and community involvement. Support one another, be proud of your roots, and never forget that you have the potential to achieve great things while honoring your identity.
